How to Set Up Pricing

Price lists in Dispatch Anywhere let you define rates for services and apply them to specific accounts, with the option to override individual service prices per account.

What you'll need

  • Access to Dispatch Anywhere settings

  • Company admin access if you need to create a brand new service (not just price an existing one)

Steps

  1. Log in to Dispatch Anywhere Settings and choose Price Lists from the left side.

  2. Create or edit a price list. Click +Add at the top to start a new one, or select an existing price list to modify it. You can also select an existing list and choose Duplicate to create a copy that you can rename.

  3. Add or remove services based on what this list needs to cover. Selecting "add new service" opens a drop-down of all existing services to choose from.

Note: If the service you need doesn't exist yet, there's an option next to the drop-down to create one — but this can only be done by a company admin. See the separate article on How to Add Services for that process.

  4. Set the price for each service by clicking the pencil icon next to it. Most services are a flat rate and only need a single rate entered. Three service types involve an additional calculation step:

    • Mileage Service: after setting the rate, click the calculator icon to configure mileage values. For example, to charge $3.00/mile with the first 10 miles free, click the + sign to add the free-mile allowance.

    • Storage Service: after setting the rate, click the calculator icon to set offsets, day type, and rate.

    • Labor Service: after setting the rate, click the calculator icon to select rounding and rate values.

  5. Apply the price list to an account under the Pricing tab of that account. Once applied, individual service prices can be overridden for that specific account — an overridden service shows a reverse arrow icon to indicate its price differs from the base price list.

FAQ

Q: How do I create a new price list?
A: Go to Price Lists, click +Add, or duplicate an existing list and rename it.

Q: How do I add a service that doesn't exist yet?
A: When adding a new service, there's an option next to the drop-down to create one, but only a company admin can do this. See the How To Add Services article for details.

Q: How do I set up mileage pricing with free miles included?
A: Set the base rate, then click the calculator icon and use the + sign to add the number of free miles before the per-mile charge applies.

Q: What does the reverse arrow icon on a service mean?
A: It means that service's price has been overridden for that specific account and differs from the base price list.

Q: How do I apply a price list to a specific account?
A: Go to the account's Pricing tab and apply the price list there. You can then override individual service prices for that account if needed.
