Overview
The D.A. For Drivers settings control how the Dispatch Anywhere mobile app behaves for drivers. These settings are managed by an administrator and apply at both the company and division level. Changes take effect immediately for drivers on the mobile app.
How to access Driver App Settings
Log in to your Dispatch Anywhere account.
Navigate to Settings.
Select D.A. For Drivers from the left-hand toolbar.
Select the General tab to manage the settings below.
Company Settings
Company Settings apply globally to all drivers across your organization.
Setting | What it does |
Enable QR Scan Assignment | Allows drivers to assign themselves to a vehicle by scanning a vehicle-specific QR code. Each vehicle must have a QR code generated and displayed in the vehicle. |
Enable Driver Checklist | After scanning a vehicle QR code, the driver is prompted to complete a pre-shift checklist before viewing or accepting jobs. Requires Enable QR Scan Assignment to be active. |
Require GPS Tracking Turned On to View Jobs | Requires drivers to have GPS location services enabled on their device before they can view jobs. Drivers will see a prompt to enable GPS if it is off. |
Automatic Job Timestamps | Triggers certain timestamp events automatically based on geofence entry and exit, reducing manual input. See the Automatic Job Timestamps section below for full event behavior. |
Automatic Job Timestamp behavior
When Automatic Job Timestamps is enabled, each call event behaves as follows:
Event | How it is triggered | Notes |
En-route | Set manually by the driver |
|
Arrived | Auto-timestamped on incident geofence enter |
|
Departed | Driver is prompted on incident geofence exit | Prompt used instead of auto to prevent false positives when a vehicle is moved but has not yet left the scene. |
Destination Arrived | Auto-timestamped on destination geofence enter | If signature on key drop-off is enabled, driver is prompted instead so they can capture the signature first. |
Finish | Driver is prompted on destination geofence exit |
|
Division Settings
Division Settings are configured per division and control driver permissions and prompts within the mobile app.

Allow Drivers to Delete Services | Allows drivers to remove services from a call. When disabled, only office staff can delete services. |
Allow Drivers to View Service Pricing | Allows drivers to see pricing for services on a call. When disabled, pricing is hidden in the app. |
Allow Drivers to Edit Service Pricing | Allows drivers to change service pricing on a call. Requires Allow Drivers to View Service Pricing to be enabled. |
Prompt Driver to Capture Tow Ticket Signature | Displays a persistent reminder banner prompting the driver to capture a customer signature on the tow ticket. Remains visible until the signature is collected. |
Prompt Driver for Keys Upon Arrival to Destination | Displays a persistent reminder banner prompting the driver to collect vehicle keys from the customer upon arriving at the destination. |
Allow Drivers to Create Jobs | Allows drivers to create and enter their own calls from the mobile app without dispatch initiating the job. Useful for independent driver operations. |
Require Driver to Upload Photos | Requires drivers to upload photos before completing a call. A prompt is displayed if photos are missing when the driver attempts to finish. |

Frequently asked questions
Why can't a driver see any jobs in the app?
If Require GPS Tracking Turned On to View Jobs is enabled, the driver must have location services active on their device. Have the driver check their phone's location settings and confirm the Dispatch Anywhere app has location permission.
Why is the driver's timestamp not recording automatically?
Automatic Job Timestamps relies on geofence detection. Confirm the job has a valid address so a geofence can be calculated, and that the driver has GPS enabled. Note that En-route, Departed, and Finish events still require manual driver confirmation by design.
Can a driver edit a call after it is completed?
Yes, if Driver Edit History is set to a value greater than 0. The number entered determines how many days back edits are allowed. If set to 0, completed calls are locked for drivers.
What is the difference between Driver Edit History and Driver View History?
Driver Edit History controls how many days back a driver can modify a completed call. Driver View History controls how many days of history are visible. View History can be higher than Edit History — for example, a driver can view 365 days of history but only edit calls from the last 2 days.
Does Allow Drivers to Create Jobs let drivers bypass dispatch?
Yes. When enabled, drivers can initiate calls on their own without needing dispatch to create the job first. If you want all jobs dispatched centrally, keep this setting disabled.
Are Division Settings shared across all divisions?
No. Division Settings are configured per division. Each division can have its own permissions for payments, service editing, pricing visibility, and other controls.
